The short version: Flara is a symptom tracking tool that writes data to Apple Health on your device. There are no accounts, no servers, and no data leaves your phone. Use it responsibly and at your own discretion — it is not a medical device.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Flara ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you and Erik Jimenez ("we," "our," or "us"), the developer and publisher of Flara.
2. Description of Service
Flara is an iOS application that allows you to track the start and end time of symptoms in real time. Completed symptom records are written to Apple Health on your device using Apple's HealthKit framework. Flara does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Flara is not a medical device. It is a personal logging tool. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical decisions.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use Flara. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
Flara offers a free tier with limited functionality and optional paid subscriptions that unlock all features. Subscriptions are processed and managed entirely by Apple through the App Store.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your iPhone's Settings under your Apple ID
Prices are set in App Store Connect and may vary by region. Any price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policies.
5. Free Trial
Flara offers a 30-day free trial of all features upon first installation. No payment information is required to start the trial. When the trial expires, access reverts to the free tier unless you subscribe.
The trial period is managed locally on your device. Reinstalling the App may reset the trial.
6. Your Data
All symptom data you create with Flara is stored on your device — either temporarily in the App (while a symptom is being tracked) or permanently in Apple Health (after you save a completed record).
We do not collect, access, or store your health data on any server. You are solely responsible for your data and any backups thereof. Deleting the App or revoking HealthKit permissions may result in loss of locally stored data.
For details on how your information is handled, please review our Privacy Policy.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use the App to misrepresent health information to healthcare providers, insurers, or any third party
- Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the App or any part of it
8. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, and trademarks associated with Flara are the property of Erik Jimenez or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms and Apple's App Store terms.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
Flara is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We make no guarantees about the accuracy or reliability of any data recorded by the App.
Flara is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Erik Jimenez shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App, including but not limited to damages for loss of data, health outcomes, or any decisions made based on information recorded in the App.
Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
11. Third-Party Services
Flara integrates with Apple HealthKit for health data storage. Your use of HealthKit is governed by Apple's terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of any third-party service.
Your use of Flara is also subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA), available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdevapps.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Flara after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Termination
You may stop using Flara at any time by deleting the App. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms, though given the App's local-only architecture, this would primarily apply to any future online features.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
